Country and Metropolitan Homes recently welcomed James Duddridge, the Conservative MP for Rochford and Southend East, to its award winning Garrison development in Shoeburyness. The visit, which was arranged in conjunction with the NHBC, was to highlight the number of new homes that are currently being built in the area.

The visit included a tour of the development and its collection of refurbished and new-build properties on this former military barracks, where most of the older buildings date from the mid to late nineteenth century. Mr Duddridge was also presented with a book detailing the history of The Garrison by Country and Metropolitan Homes’ sales and marketing director, Elaine Dufaur.

Elaine said: “We were delighted to welcome James Duddridge to The Garrison, which is one of our most popular developments and an excellent example of the high quality homes currently being built by Country and Metropolitan Homes in the area.”

A new phase of properties was recently launched at The Garrison including a range of three and four-bedroom family homes priced from £275,000.

Steve Catt, regional director of the NHBC, said: “Despite the current economic uncertainty, the high level of properties being sold at the Garrison demonstrates the quality of the new homes being provided on the site. I’m delighted that Mr Duddridge was able to see first-hand how Country & Metropolitan Homes and the NHBC are working together to provide constituents with a wide variety of new and newly converted, environmentally friendly homes”.

James Duddridge added: “I had a fantastic visit at the Garrison. It was the most informative and insightful visit I have had to the Garrison.  I left with a better understanding of the development plans, after sale care to purchasers and also the vision of the organisation. Once completed, the site will offer a variety of desirable homes in a unique setting.  I am looking forward to visiting the finished scheme.”

The Garrison at Shoeburyness is a desirable coastal development of refurbished and new-build properties occupying an enviable position overlooking the sea and cricket green. It is the perfect choice for both families and professionals with a range of amenities in a peaceful environment.
